DESCRIPTION
Miles Davis reinvented jazz roughly every five years and left each version behind for other people to make careers out of. Bebop, then the cool sessions, then the modal calm of Kind of Blue, then the electric storm of Bitches Brew — each turn cost him part of his audience and he made it anyway. He walked out of Juilliard to find the music on 52nd Street instead.
He was famous for what he left out. The notes he did not play are the ones musicians still study.
Printed to order in holographic silk PLA, 15 cm tall. The iridescence shifts with light and viewing angle, and no two pieces come out identical — filament variation and the printing process itself see to that. Made in France, dispatched in 2-5 business days.
The image shown is a digital visualization of the artwork; a 360° view of an actual printed sculpture is available on the site. An original artistic interpretation by designer and visual artist Antonio de Santos, not affiliated with or endorsed by the subject or their estate.
