DESCRIPTION
Danton was the voice of the Revolution when it needed volume — a huge, scarred, physically imposing lawyer who could move a crowd in the Cordeliers club and did, repeatedly, through the fall of the monarchy and the founding of the Republic. Then the machine he had helped build turned on him, and Robespierre's faction sent him to the guillotine in April 1794.
He is said to have told the executioner: "Show my head to the people, it is worth seeing." A sculpture is the polite version of the same instruction.
Printed to order in holographic silk PLA, 15 cm tall. The iridescence shifts with light and viewing angle, and no two pieces come out identical — filament variation and the printing process itself see to that. Made in France, dispatched in 2-5 business days.
The image shown is a digital visualization of the artwork; a 360° view of an actual printed sculpture is available on the site. An original artistic interpretation by designer and visual artist Antonio de Santos, not affiliated with or endorsed by the subject or their estate.
