DESCRIPTION

A Corsican artillery officer who ended up crowning himself emperor — taking the crown from the Pope's hands to do it. Austerlitz made his reputation; Russia and then Waterloo unmade it, and he finished on a rock in the South Atlantic writing his own version of events. The empire lasted a decade. The civil code he ordered drafted still underpins law across much of the world.

Few faces have been reproduced more often, in more bronze, in more squares. This one is small enough to keep on a shelf.

Printed to order in holographic silk PLA, 15 cm tall. The iridescence shifts with light and viewing angle, and no two pieces come out identical — filament variation and the printing process itself see to that. Made in France, dispatched in 2-5 business days.

The image shown is a digital visualization of the artwork; a 360° view of an actual printed sculpture is available on the site. An original artistic interpretation by designer and visual artist Antonio de Santos, not affiliated with or endorsed by the subject or their estate.
