DESCRIPTION
Lacan called it a return to Freud and delivered it as a weekly seminar in Paris that ran for decades, drawing philosophers, linguists and film theorists into a room to hear sentences that resisted being written down. The mirror stage, the unconscious structured like a language, the distinction between desire and need — his terms are now standard equipment in fields that have nothing to do with the clinic.
He was accused of obscurity constantly and treated the accusation as a compliment.
Printed to order in holographic silk PLA, 15 cm tall. The iridescence shifts with light and viewing angle, and no two pieces come out identical — filament variation and the printing process itself see to that. Made in France, dispatched in 2-5 business days.
The image shown is a digital visualization of the artwork; a 360° view of an actual printed sculpture is available on the site. An original artistic interpretation by designer and visual artist Antonio de Santos, not affiliated with or endorsed by the subject or their estate.
