DESCRIPTION
Varda made her first feature before the New Wave existed and her last one in her nineties, with a phone-camera curiosity that never dulled. Cléo from 5 to 7 follows a woman in something close to real time, waiting for a diagnosis; Vagabond refuses to explain its protagonist; The Gleaners and I is a documentary about picking up what other people discard, which is more or less her whole method.
She trained as a photographer, kept the two-tone bowl haircut for decades, and remained, by common consent, the most cheerful radical in French cinema.
Printed to order in holographic silk PLA, 15 cm tall. The iridescence shifts with light and viewing angle, and no two pieces come out identical — filament variation and the printing process itself see to that. Made in France, dispatched in 2-5 business days.
The image shown is a digital visualization of the artwork; a 360° view of an actual printed sculpture is available on the site. An original artistic interpretation by designer and visual artist Antonio de Santos, not affiliated with or endorsed by the subject or their estate.
