DESCRIPTION
A pastor's son who spent his career interrogating the silence he was raised to call God. Bergman gave cinema the knight playing chess with Death, the two faces merging in Persona, the long unbroken close-ups that let an actor's face do what dialogue could not. He directed for the stage with the same intensity, and retreated for decades to the windswept island of Fårö.
His subject was almost always the human face under pressure. A sculpture is an odd tribute to a man who worked in duration — but it is the face that remains.
Printed to order in holographic silk PLA, 15 cm tall. The iridescence shifts with light and viewing angle, and no two pieces come out identical — filament variation and the printing process itself see to that. Made in France, dispatched in 2-5 business days.
The image shown is a digital visualization of the artwork; a 360° view of an actual printed sculpture is available on the site. An original artistic interpretation by designer and visual artist Antonio de Santos, not affiliated with or endorsed by the subject or their estate.
