DESCRIPTION
Pizarnik wrote short. Poems of a few lines that circle childhood, silence and the failure of language to hold anything, pared down until almost nothing is left standing. She spent four years in Paris in the early sixties, translating and reading, then returned to Buenos Aires and kept a diary that is now read as closely as the poems.
She died in 1972, at 36. Her work has only grown since — one of the rare poets whose reputation is built almost entirely on compression.
Printed to order in holographic silk PLA, 15 cm tall. The iridescence shifts with light and viewing angle, and no two pieces come out identical — filament variation and the printing process itself see to that. Made in France, dispatched in 2-5 business days.
The image shown is a digital visualization of the artwork; a 360° view of an actual printed sculpture is available on the site. An original artistic interpretation by designer and visual artist Antonio de Santos, not affiliated with or endorsed by the subject or their estate.
