DESCRIPTION
Esenin came out of a village in Ryazan and wrote about birch trees, horses and mud with a lyric precision that made him a celebrity in revolutionary Russia — then watched the revolution industrialise the countryside he had been mourning in advance. He called himself the last poet of the village and meant it literally.
He married Isadora Duncan, toured Europe with her, drank, quarrelled, and died in a Leningrad hotel room in 1925 at 30. His farewell poem is said to have been written in his own blood, the ink having run out.
Printed to order in holographic silk PLA, 15 cm tall. The iridescence shifts with light and viewing angle, and no two pieces come out identical — filament variation and the printing process itself see to that. Made in France, dispatched in 2-5 business days.
The image shown is a digital visualization of the artwork; a 360° view of an actual printed sculpture is available on the site. An original artistic interpretation by designer and visual artist Antonio de Santos, not affiliated with or endorsed by the subject or their estate.
