DESCRIPTION
Thomas wrote out loud. The poems were built to be spoken, and his own recordings — that extraordinary rolling baritone, far larger than the small man producing it — turned him into one of the first poets whose voice was as famous as his work. Under Milk Wood was written for radio; Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night is the villanelle everyone can half-recite.
He worked from a boathouse at Laugharne, overlooking the estuary, and died in New York at 39 in the middle of a reading tour.
Printed to order in holographic silk PLA, 15 cm tall. The iridescence shifts with light and viewing angle, and no two pieces come out identical — filament variation and the printing process itself see to that. Made in France, dispatched in 2-5 business days.
The image shown is a digital visualization of the artwork; a 360° view of an actual printed sculpture is available on the site. An original artistic interpretation by designer and visual artist Antonio de Santos, not affiliated with or endorsed by the subject or their estate.
