DESCRIPTION
Hopscotch comes with instructions for reading it in two different orders, which tells you most of what you need to know about Cortázar. His short stories open a door in an ordinary afternoon and never explain what came through it — a house quietly occupied, a man who dreams he is an axolotl. He lived in Paris from 1951, translated obsessively, and loved jazz enough to build a story out of a saxophone solo.
He kept a boyish face into his sixties, which unsettled people who expected an experimental novelist to look severe.
Printed to order in holographic silk PLA, 15 cm tall. The iridescence shifts with light and viewing angle, and no two pieces come out identical — filament variation and the printing process itself see to that. Made in France, dispatched in 2-5 business days.
The image shown is a digital visualization of the artwork; a 360° view of an actual printed sculpture is available on the site. An original artistic interpretation by designer and visual artist Antonio de Santos, not affiliated with or endorsed by the subject or their estate.
