DESCRIPTION
Burroughs wrote Naked Lunch out of notes scattered across a room in Tangier, then spent the following decades taking language apart with scissors — the cut-up method he developed with Brion Gysin, slicing pages and reassembling them to see what the accident revealed. Obscenity trials followed the book to Boston. So did two generations of musicians who read him as a manual.
He outlived almost everyone in his circle and kept the voice of a man reading a government report aloud in a dry, terrible deadpan.
Printed to order in holographic silk PLA, 15 cm tall. The iridescence shifts with light and viewing angle, and no two pieces come out identical — filament variation and the printing process itself see to that. Made in France, dispatched in 2-5 business days.
The image shown is a digital visualization of the artwork; a 360° view of an actual printed sculpture is available on the site. An original artistic interpretation by designer and visual artist Antonio de Santos, not affiliated with or endorsed by the subject or their estate.
